Meet Mama Daisie and her baby blooms, Dahlia and Daffodil

We met this trio on a “we’re just looking” trip to the shelter - we cooed at the adorable little pibble with the pretty eyes and then gasped as two teeny faces popped out from behind her

Immediately heartbroken at the thought of a nursing mother and two puppies being stuck at the shelter, we knew we had to help. These gorgeous girls were seized from a property as part of an ongoing cruelty case and we refused to let them miss out on love for a single second longer

At roughly three years old, we don’t know specifics about the cruelty Daisie’s endured in her life but we do know that this girl is ALL love, ALL the time. She will literally crawl into your lap for snuggles, or climb up for hugs. She believes in kissing first and asking for forgiveness later

She is the most gentle mother ever, letting her little girls walk all over her (physically and metaphorically) and milk her dry. She’s got some weight to put back on but is otherwise healthy and looking for a foster home! It’s her turn to be the center of attention

Dahlia and Daffie are in a temporary foster home and will be ready to find foster to adopt homes very, very soon!

When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.
Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!

Swamp Haven is an animal rescue organization that takes down-on-their-luck dogs and nurtures them back to a healthy mental and physical state, so they can find their forever home. Our goal is simple. We save innocent dogs that have been overlooked by society and provide short-term care including vetting (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and heartworm and flea prevention) and training to learn how to walk politely on a leash, play in a pack and live calmly and lovingly in their new home.
