My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It is ABOUT TIME you guys hear ALLLL about Khloe. ‍♀️
Khloe was surrendered to the shelter with the note, “I just want her to have a safe place to live.” Whatever past Khloe had, we are here to make sure that promise of a safe and happy forever is fulfilled for her.
It is quite obvious Khloe knows all about the home life. She walked right into her foster home after being scared and confused at the shelter, took a deep breath, and instantly settled in. Khloe is house trained, crate trained and knows all the basic commands. She can be a little shy meeting men and needs some reassurance, but is learning every day. She is kid and dog friendly and other than a little leash pulling when we are excited (we’re working on it ) she is as foster mom describes, “100% angel dog who melts my heart daily.”
Khloe is the kind of girl who reads the room. She can take it easy for a good hermit day at the house, but she is also just as happy to run, hike, gallop, and adventure any which way you want. She is also like that with dogs. Happy to take it easy and be respectful if the dog she is with prefers, but ready to play and be ridiculous with her gymnastic moves if her dog friend wants to too!One of Khloe’s big passions is cuddling and she absolutely will contort her body in any shape if that means she can be on you somehow. ♥️
Khloe is 4 years old and is 48lbs. She is going through heartworm treatment currently but otherwise healthy and we would LOVE to find Khloe her forever home to rest and heal in in the meantime. ❤️‍

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.
Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!

Our adoption fee is $350

More about this rescue

Swamp Haven is an animal rescue organization that takes down-on-their-luck dogs and nurtures them back to a healthy mental and physical state, so they can find their forever home. Our goal is simple. We save innocent dogs that have been overlooked by society and provide short-term care including vetting (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and heartworm and flea prevention) and training to learn how to walk politely on a leash, play in a pack and live calmly and lovingly in their new home.
