My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Checkers: The Sweet Survivor Ready for His Forever Home!

Checkers is a young adult, total sweetheart who’s proven he’s as resilient as he is lovable. Found shivering in the middle of a snowstorm when temperatures dropped to 15 degrees, this brave boy has put his past behind him and is now searching for a cozy, loving home where he’ll never have to feel the cold again.

Despite his rough start, Checkers is a happy, easygoing pup with a heart full of love. He’s dog-friendly and gets along wonderfully with other pups, making him an ideal addition to a family with existing dogs or one that enjoys dog-friendly outings and playdates. His gentle, friendly demeanor suggests he’s ready to blend into any loving household.

Checkers is the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal and affectionate friend. Whether it's snuggling on the couch, going for a walk, or just being by your side, Checkers is always ready to share his love. He’s eager to please and seems to enjoy learning new things, so training will be a breeze with a few treats and some positive reinforcement!

If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing pup who’s survived the toughest of circumstances and is ready to live his best life, Checkers is the one for you. He’s ready to fill your home with warmth, tail wags, and plenty of love.

Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
