Letty is an adorable, sweet little pup of just 8 months old that is so deserving of a fabulous home to grow up in. She's been through enough already in her young life but still, she remains extremely friendly and happy! Letty was removed from a neglectful situation where she was being left outdoors 24/7 along with another little dog. (Her little friend will be available once recovered from eye surgery). It seems that Letty didn't have a very good diet as she is very thin and chicken bones and such were found in her little stomach, so she sure is happy to be safe, fed, and well cared for now! Letty is just as sweet and loving as you can get. She is mild-mannered, gentle, and she just wants a little attention and kindness. She's somewhat head-shy so a home with older kids would be best. Letty is your best friend within minutes of meeting you. She'll sit, walk perfectly on a leash, and she takes treats gently. Letty is fine with other dogs too. She'd love to grow up with your good family! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#75541 9/6/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
