We got Charles when he was about 3 months old (He is 4 years now). The family we got him from were not experienced dog breeders so we think he was poorly taken care of after birth.
He took to my wife and I really fast but we noticed he was already aggressive to strangers.
We took him to special training after getting his puppy shots taken care of. They let us know he was already showing signs of aggression and that we should give him back if we could.
We took him to training pretty regularly for around 4-5 months. Scent, command, leash training, shock collar training. Hes a very smart dog and took well to all the training. But the aggression wad still there.
We were able to make him comfortable with both of our families and he's a good boy when he's familiar with everyone around.
Next year we're planning to start our family and will have babies in the house.
Despite the work we've put in we can't take any chances, but would like to find him an experienced dog owner.
