My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I’m Cast Iron Skillet, the purrfectly seasoned feline with a sweet and coy touch. I may not demand attention like my brothers, but don’t let that fool you—I know how to skillet when it comes to snuggles. I enjoy a good perch on the cat tree, where I can survey my kingdom with a graceful, reserved demeanor. My favorite toys? Wands and springs, of course! They really bring out my playful side. But if you want to see me in full action, just wave a treat in front of me—I’m highly food-motivated and whisker-ly competitive when it comes to snack time. So, if you’re looking for a cat who’s low-maintenance but still knows how to pan out some love, I’m your girl. Just toss me a treat and watch me turn on the charm!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
