My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cleo (Leo) is a somewhat shy but loveable boy. He is about 3-years-old and looking for a calm home to call his own. Cleo has evaluated the good humans at the Center and gives a thumbs up to them. He is a super love bug who LOVES to be brushed. He needs to bond to his new people in a small room (bathroom) to start, where he cannot hide from you, before letting loose in the house. Once he knows you are going to treat him as royalty, he will be your best buddy. No young kids. He gets along well with other cats and dogs but may need some time to adjust. Indoor only-he's done with the scary outdoor life-never again for this guy! He knows he is now safe! Fully vetted, chipped and ready to go! $50 adoption fee for this special boy. 423-436-2900 or email info@monroecountyfriendsofanimals.org

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
