My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Callie is a 3 yr old Siberian Husky surrendered to an overcrowded shelter in the south. Callie is not your typical Husky as she is not vocal. She is amazing with all dogs loves kids and has been the greeter in the shelter while going through heartworm treatment. Her buddy Dodger who was surrendered with her has already come to Maine and found his home. It is now this 50 pound sweeties turn.

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
