Poppy is a fun-loving, 7-month-old Pointer / Hound mix with a heart of gold and a curious spirit. Weighing in at 38 lbs, she’s got plenty of energy to burn, but don’t worry—she’s incredibly smart and picks up on things quickly! Whether she’s romping around a pond or playing with her doggy friends, Poppy’s zest for life is contagious. One of the sweetest things about Poppy is her agreeable and easygoing nature. She’s already mastered “sit” and has great recall, plus she’s doing great with her housetraining. Crates? No problem for this girl! She settles down like a champ. Poppy is still figuring out the whole leash thing (they’re a little scary for her right now), but she’s making progress every day. She’s quiet as a mouse, too—no barking here! This lovely lady would thrive in a home with another playful dog and a yard to explore. She’s not suited for apartment living, but she’s sure to make any family happy with her gentle personality and curious mind. Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

To be sure the long distance adoption is the right match for both the dog and family, we offer virtual video conference meeting for your new family member. Following verification and approval of your adoption application, we will arrange a professional transport of our new family member to your area. Our adoption donations range from $200-$300 depending on circumstances of the rescue dog, age, breed, etc. Professional transportation for your new family member is $150. We require a signed contract, driver's license and vet reference.

Our dogs are brought up to their new families each week! The professional transport service is certified through the USDA. Our rescue dogs can be returned to us if things don't work out. We want each adoption to be for a forever home, so we try very hard to make sure it's the right match! Video conference meetings available and encouraged.
