Caramel Corn is an 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to feed the sweet tooth of her forever home! Caramel was rescued from the shelter with a few of her spooky season pals. We don’t know why she was left at the shelter but we know that her future is looking bright. Caramel Corn is a medium-sized gal who can’t wait to make her future people the luckiest family alive! If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t find a better late-night snack than our Caramel Corn!

Caramel Corn is the happiest and most friendly gal you will ever meet. She is a nonstop kissing machine who just wants to love her people. She is super smart and highlights the best of the Cattle Dog breed, easily picking up on new tricks. Caramel Corn would make a fabulous running partner or adventure companion, as she has an amazing energy level. However, she is also a pro at spending time snoozing on the couch or catching up on a Halloween movie marathon. As long as you provide the popcorn, she will sprinkle the caramel on it! Caramel lives every day to the fullest with a smile on her face. This girl would be so happy to join your family and promises that she will make you so happy if you have her in your life. Ready for Halloween? She’s got tons of ideas for costumes that include pups! We won’t share her surprises but we promise she’s got a list ready. Caramel is also the best kind of dog for making new friends in your neighborhood! Ready for a new friend group? She will get you an invite to Ha-paw-y hour with the best people in your neighborhood. If you’ve been wanting to check out your local night life, she’s happy to make introductions (as long as they serve paw-tails). Caramel is even ready to help you explore the outdoors! She’d love to check out the local beaches, trails, and even lakes! She’s just ready to help you live your life to the fullest, because that is what makes her the happiest dog in the world! You won’t find a better best friend than our Caramel Corn!

Caramel Corn wakes up at 7 AM and goes right outside to potty. She gets her breakfast at 730 AM and then she spends some time chewing on her chew toys as her foster people get ready for the day. She has a long fetch session around 10 AM before she settles in for a long nap. In the afternoon, she hangs out in the backyard as she gets her zoomies out and plays with her pile of toys. She gets a walk once the weather starts to cool and loves hanging out with all her neighborhood pals, humans and canines. In the evening, Caramel gets dinner around 8 PM and then she spends her evening soaking up cuddles on the couch as she watches TV with her people. She goes into the yard around 9 PM for some late night sniffing and exploring followed by one last potty session. After she comes inside, Caramel heads into her crate for the night at 10 PM and snoozes the rest of the night away.

Caramel Corn lives with a resident dog in her foster home and gets along fabulously with them. She is working on her leash walking skills and would benefit from some additional training and socialization. Like many dogs from the shelter, this is the first time she may have been on a leash. So kudos to a wonderful foster who is teaching her! She is house trained and crate trained. Caramel Corn would be the perfect addition to any home that is ready for an active and loving dog. She’s got so much to show the world and we know that her forever family will get the best dog ever. If you’re ready to bring home the sweetest and most amazing dog, order a bag of our Caramel Corn today!

Caramel Corn is an option for homes that have prior dog experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
