Arnold Palmer is a 3 year old Dachshund x Spaniel mix who is serving up the perfect blend of sweet and love! Arnie was surrendered to our rescue when his former home was no longer able to care for him. We took this handsome boy in and promised him a lifetime of love and adventure! He has a gorgeous coat, a bright smile, and the personality to boot! What a dream. If you are hoping to capture sunshine and summer in a bottle as the weather gets cooler, pour a glass of Arnold Palmer and enjoy!

Arnold Palmer is a sweet, loyal gentleman with a permanent smile on his face and a wag in his tail. He adores his people and would love nothing more than a lifetime spent with his people. He is also a multi-hyphenate and can dance the hours away on his hind legs. He’s so sweet he even allows his kitten foster siblings to share his water bowl while he drinks. Arnie is the sweetest welcome home at the end of a workday as his tail wags at a million miles a minute. Arnie hasn’t quite figured out the whole “playing” thing quite yet but we know that as he settles in he will get the hang of it! He has a fabulously fluffy coat and sits happily as his fur is brushed until it shines! He has the best set of puppy dog eyes that draw you in and make you fall in love. He is “fun sized” in the best possible way, but don’t let his small size fool you. Arnie is down for any adventures you have in mind. We can picture him now at a dog-friendly brewery, charming the pants off of humans and dogs alike! Arnie has such a sweet and gentle nature and we know he is a once in a lifetime kind of dog. You’ll be overjoyed to grab a can of Arnold Palmer of your very own.

Arnold Palmer wakes up at 7:30 AM and heads out for potty in the yard. He comes inside for breakfast and then soaks up some love and hugs before his foster parents start their day. He likes to hang close to his people and the resident cats during the day, cuddling on the couch or snoozing on the floor. He is always on the lookout for an opportunity to give some kisses or collect his allotment of treats. Arnie gets his dinner at 6 PM and then goes on his evening walk around 7:30 PM once the weather cools down a bit. He ends his night watching some TV or hanging with his people as they read. He goes out for one last potty break and then heads to bed around 11 PM.

Arnie gets along fabulously with dogs and cats alike. He walks well on a leash and loves greeting all his neighborhood pals. Arnie is the kind of dog that once you capture his heart, he will be your faithful friend forever. Arnie is super smart as well and we know he would be the star of any doggie social. If you’re ready for a lovebug ready to take on the world, pick up a limited edition can of Arnold Palmer today!

Arnold Palmer is an option for homes with prior dog ownership experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 9.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
