My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scout Ty: The Goofy, Loving Brittany Ready for His Forever Home!

Hello, I’m Scout Ty, a almost 10 year-old, 60 lb liver and white Brittany, and I’m on the lookout for my next forever family. I’m working on slimming down my cute figure, but even with a few extra pounds, I’m all about love, cuddles, and having fun! I’m neutered, housebroken, and crate trained (though I’m so well-behaved, I don’t need it).

Why You’ll Fall in Love with Me:

  • Affectionate & Fun: I’m a goofy guy who loves to be loved! Cuddles, rubs, and water are my favorite things, and I’m always up for some fun!
  • Great with Dogs: I get along with other dogs and would love to have some siblings, but I’m perfectly happy being your one and only too.
  • Well-Behaved: I can be left alone in the house for hours, and I won’t get into anything—I’m a gentleman like that.
  • Active & Resilient: When I was just a year old, I hurt my left front leg and have a screw in it, but it doesn’t stop me! I run, play, and enjoy life without any problems.

A Little About Me:

I know my basic commands like sit, come, paw, and lay down, and I’m always eager to learn more. Sometimes I’m a little hard of hearing, but that just adds to my charm—it’s possible I’m just pretending not to hear you! I’ve also been told I have a very minor heart murmur (1/6), but another vet couldn’t hear it, so it’s nothing to worry about.

I lost my previous owner, and now I’m searching for a loving home where I can bring joy, love, and my goofy smile. Will you be the one to open your heart to me? I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The adoption fee for OK/Scout Ty who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $250,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Scout Ty  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.orgContact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Scout Ty.

Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.

Our Britts are housed in foster homes. We are NOT a shelter.

Foster homes are our lifeline to saving dogs. We have opportunities for fostering in every state and Canadian Province. Fostering not only helps the dogs, but blesses the humans involved too. Knowing that you are helping a Brittany find a forever loving home is a great feeling! If you can foster please complete a volunteer application under the Help the Dogs button on our website.
