My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Raphael is an estimated 9mo old 70 lb neutered male shepherd mix who was a stray intake to the overcrowded San Bernardino city shelter. There he was kennelled with six other dogs! We have partnered with ARF to help him and his kennelmates. Raphael temp tested fantastically with dogs and people and was social and friendly playgroups. We will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.

Foster Update: Raphi is such a sweet cuddly boy! He is still a puppy and curious about everything, but he is also able to settle in the house and is great in his crate. He has learned "sit" in the short time he's been here and is working on "down" and "place" and making quick progress. Raphael definitely wants to please and is super smart! He is crate trained and potty trained. He loves to play with other dogs and loves people. He doesn't live with kids, but has been really great meeting them so far. Given he is a puppy and is still a bit mouthy at times--in a playful way--he'll probably do best with older or dog saavy kids. Rapheal will be a great adventure companion for a lucky PNW family!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health  certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
