Basket is a 1-year-old, 8-pound male cat that was pulled from the NYCACC.

Basket is a handsome boy who deserves a special human. This young adult, most likely a Scottish Fold, has a distinctive appearance with his folded ears and large, expressive golden eyes. His plush grey coat gives him an adorably cuddly look that's hard to resist.

Basket is playful, curious and alert, which makes him an engaging companion for interactive playtime. He has a sweet, adaptable personality and seems to get along with everybody!

Very affectionate without being overly demanding, Basket would thrive in a home where he can be an involved part of daily life, curling up nearby as you work or relax. He'll be sure to follow you around and cuddle whenever possible!

Basket's shelter notes stated he exhibited stress in a home with another cat therefore we are currently prioritizing homes for him where he will be the only animal.

Vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. FeLV / FIV negative, neutered, and microchipped.

We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.

STEP 1: Apply!
Download and complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION from www.waggytailrescue.org/adopt-a-waggytail

STEP 2: The Meet and Greet!
We strongly suggest the ALL members of the household come to the meet and greet. This is the time to determine whether a dog's personality is match for you, your family and your other animals, and if you have allergies. If everything goes well you may adopt the same day, or take a day or two to decide, but we cannot indefinitely hold dogs in foster care for you.

STEP 3: Contract and Donation!
Fill out and sign the TRANSFER AGREEMENT.

The DONATION FEE may be paid by Venmo (@WaggytailRescue) or Paypal (waggytailrescue@gmail.com, add $15 processing fee). Please put the name of the dog in the memo section! Electronic payment is preferred!
You may also pay by check (payable to Waggytail Rescue), however processing of adoptions may be delayed by up to 2 weeks.
If your new buddy is not yet neutered, a $100 refundable deposit must be paid at adoption.

Dog Donation Fees
(includes microchip registration, age appropriate vaccines, and neuter)

$550 for puppies under 1 year
$450 for dogs 1 to 8 years
$325 for seniors over 9 years of age

Please add an additional $15 when paying by PayPal to cover processing fees.
Add $100 neuter deposit for unfixed animals.

We focus on finding permanent placement for animals in urgent circumstances, saving dogs from imminent euthanasia at over-crowded local shelters, West Coast and South East kill shelters.
