Border Collie fans - meet Kaidy! She is about 2 years old based on her teeth, though she was a stray originally so we don't know exact age. She currently weighs 56 pounds. She will be on a stray hold until 9/26 and will be released for adoption, but we are accepting applications for her in case an owner is not found. She will be spayed 10/8 and can go home the next day. She is obviously very smart which is typical of her breed. Someone must have put some work into training her since she knows how to sit on command and has a good mind. She seems to understand other basic commands like "down" and "no" and is observed being generally very polite. She seems playful and loves to cuddle. We don't know much beyond that, such as the extent of her potty training or if she has a history of living with kids, cats, or other dogs, but we do put them in play groups with dogs their size. A dog like her would be very easy to train further. $300.00 adoption includes cost of her spay, vaccines, and microchip. Pets & Pals has been serving the community for over 20 years. We are a no-kill shelter. Our facility is extremely clean and well managed. The dogs are allowed to get out of their cages daily on a rotating basis to play in our outdoor areas complete with swimming pools!
