My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 **Meet Mayor McCheese: The Brave Explorer!** 🐾

Introducing Mayor McCheese, the fearless leader of the group who is always first to check things out! With a bold spirit and a heart full of curiosity, she’s ready to find her forever home.

✨ **About Mayor McCheese**:
Mayor McCheese has always been the bravest of her siblings, fearlessly venturing into new experiences. She has a delightful fondness for butt scratches and shares her sister's love for churro treats. Watching her enjoy these little pleasures is sure to bring a smile to your face!

🌟 **Personality**:
This adventurous kitty’s favorite toy is the laser pointer, and she loves to chase it around with excitement! However, it’s important to note that she can be a bit sensitive, especially when feeling cornered or stressed. During recent vaccine appointments, she did scratch me out of fear, which is completely understandable. Just like any of us, she needs a little time to adjust to new situations.

🏡 **Ideal Home**:
While Mayor McCheese has a brave heart, I would recommend a home without young children, as she may feel overwhelmed in a busy environment. However, I believe she could warm up fairly quickly to the right person who understands her needs and gives her the space to feel secure.

If you’re looking for a spirited companion who is ready to explore and share her love for playtime, Mayor McCheese is the perfect match! With patience and understanding, she will blossom into a loving and adventurous friend. Welcome this brave explorer into your home and enjoy every moment of her delightful company! 🌍🐈‍⬛

More about this rescue

At Oakbrook Cat Rescue, we are a dedicated team of passionate volunteers united by our love for cats. As a no-kill rescue group, we provide a safe haven for both kittens and adult cats, ensuring they thrive in loving foster homes instead of cages. Our mission is to shower every feline in our care with compassion while offering essential services such as spaying, neutering, vaccinating, microchipping, and conducting FIV/FeLV combo tests.

We believe that every cat, whether a playful kitten or a wise old soul, deserves a second chance at happiness. In addition to caring for our adoptable cats, we support our community by assisting with the needs of feral and community cats whenever we can, helping to provide care and resources for local colonies.

From the most affectionate to the shyest, Oakbrook Cat Rescue is devoted to finding each of them a forever home filled with love. Together, we strive to make a difference—one paw at a time.
