My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Roxie!

This sweet and shy girl has been through it. She came to us from an abandoned property where she was left behind when her owners moved. Neighbors told us that Roxie had been an outside dog all of her life, with little to no interaction from her owners. As a result, Roxie is a timid girl who is unsure around new people. It takes her a while to trust. Once she trusts you, she is a loving and affectionate girl. She is learning to walk on a leash - she has never had to learn being left outside all the time. She is also learning that being inside a home and being able to sleep on a couch and cuddle up with people is a wonderful thing.

Roxie will need a little patience when she moves to a new home. Another dog in the home will be best for her - there is no better guide for a shy dog than a confident dog friend. She is best in a home with older kids (over 10).

Roxie will be vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
