My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to our newest piggies on the block, Gino & Georgie!

This brotherly duo are incredibly social guinea pigs, very curious, and well they're just absolutely adorable 🥰 A day in the life of Gino & Georgie consists of snacking, exploring ALL the things, little piggie flop out naps to recharge, and well, more snacks, ha.

These two do it all - tunnels, ramps, hide & seek games, and they're pros at finding tasty snacks in their timothy snuffle mat! We're having a great time creating new enrichment items for them daily to test out their GP skills, and these two guys have skills 🏆 These two enjoy spending time together and with their human friends. Fun fact, GPs do best in pairs or groups.

They're pretty quiet for the most part, unless your changing out the garbage bag and they're convinced you're prepping them a salad 😆 But, we must admit that strategy usually pays off and they're delivered a snack! Hey, who can say no to those wee little piggy faces? Not us.

So, if you're looking for the sweetest pair of GPs? Look no further and hit the link below to get started ⬇️

Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
