My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet boy came to us along with his mom and four siblings, and he's now looking for his fur-ever home. Loch is your typical busy little puppy that still needs all his basic training, and would do really well in puppy classes with a lovely patient human to teach him some new skills. He's a very gentle boy and loves playing with his siblings, and would definitely benefit from living with a playful and patient dog to show him how to live his best dog life.
He is going to be a busy pup and will do best in an active home with some previous dog experience. These puppies were born to work, and even though we're unsure of breed, we know they are high drive and will be very busy.
If you're ready for an active puppy to keep you on your toes while you learn together, please fill out an application to find out if you're a match.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
