My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth: 7/16/2023

Description:

Senita is the sweet cat, she meows when I come in the room and comes right over for attention. She loves sitting in your lap and cuddling then falls asleep. Think she would sit there all day lol. She was very upset and angry when I first got her after she was abandoned in a carrier and left outside in the heat in front of PetSmart. She was hissing, growling and lunging in the carrier but the next day after she decompressed and realized she was safe she came right over for attention and crawled in my lap. She does get excited waiting to play and will give love bites for attention so needs someone who will play with her to get all that energy out.

Words to Describe Me: Sweet, lap cat, playful

Favorite Place to Sleep: When I’m not in the room I see her on camera always sleeping on the PetFusion Cat Scratcher Lounge, she also loves to sleep In your lap or on a cat tree.

Favorite Toy: Loves chasing red laser light, will fly thru the air and flip playing with wand toys

Kitty's Likes: Loves to sit on your lap and cuddle, chin scratches, being held like a baby,

Kitty's Dislikes: Be ignored if wanting attention or to play sometimes will come over and bite arm or somewhere else for attention but it’s just because she is excited not to be mean

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Just give her attention and she starts purring.

Favorite Treat: Squeeze up treats, loves wet food

Other Info: She like likes to put her feet in the water bowl then lick her paw and sometimes will play in it so best to have her water bowl on a tray table.

  • Good with Cats: Unknown.

  • Good with Dogs: Does not care for dogs.

  • Good with Children:  Can live with children over the age of 12.

  • Companion Animal: Not necessary.

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
