My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Peaches is one of 5 dogs who came to us from a sad situation out of Red Lodge, MT (Carbon County). Someone called in an extreme case of neglect and several dogs who looked under weight and neglected on property.

Peaches at first did not come to us as there was someone who wanted her - but shortly after we got the other 4 we were called and asked to take Peaches too.

She is UTD on vaccines now and gaining weight after being in a foster for a while.  We are not sure if she is good with cats, kids, chickens, birds, farm animals etc. We are just learning about her but know that she will need a lot of love and support.

Additional adoption info

Great Pyrenees Rescue, Montana's mission is to help rehabilitate abused and displaced Great Pyrenees dogs, and find them the best forever home.

Adopting a friend
We work hard to find the best home for our dogs. We want this home to be their forever home. An adoption application is required with a vet reference. A home visit is also done. PERMANENT, SECURE FENCING IS REQUIRED Our adoption donation for most dogs is $275.00 for our dogs and this money is used to cover vet expense, spay/neuter charges, transport expense and caring for our dogs until they are adopted. A senior dog age 8 or older and our special needs dogs, we ask for $175.00 donation. This adoption donation is lower because you may need more health care for the seniors or special needs. We want them all to find a happy home and to be loved forever. FENCING FOR THIS BREED NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 5 FOOT HIGH.
NOTE: The electric underground fencing is unacceptable for this breed.

More about this rescue

Please note: We are not a shelter. We are a group of volunteers. All of our dogs are fostered at someone's home OR at Old Farm Kennels. They are loved by their foster parents, some of them are socialized and their personalities and traits are well known by the foster family.
