Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gabby......
What a sad story...
Gabby was recently surrendered to a Mississippi shelter when her elderly owner died. Gabby was released to the shelter when no family member came forward to care for her. We heard the shelter in Mississippi was in the path of Hurricane Francine and pulled her up north to safety. Gabby is a 8 year old Terrier mix. We think Yorkie, wire hair terrier or silky terrier mix. We consider her hypoallergenic. She weighs around 10 pounds. Gabby does have alot of missing teeth. Her tongue is usually hanging out of the side of her mouth. She is extremely sweet with people. She wants to be held all the time, or just simply sit with humans on the couch. Gabby is alittle cranky with other dogs in her space. We think her best placement would be in a home without another dog. She would be fine with older kids or cats, as long as the cat kept to themselves. Gabby will be seen by our vet next week. We need to determine if she is spayed. If she is not, we will get that done. We also want to see if a dental is necessary. All will be taken care of before adoption. Let's get this sweet senior into a home where she can live out her days in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. A shelter or loud foster home is not where she is most comfortable.
