Meet Shrike! Shrike is a young Coonhound/Lab Retriver mix, searching for his forever home.

Shrike is a lively and energetic pup who is always ready for an adventure! With a playful spirit and boundless enthusiasm, Shrike is the perfect companion for an active family looking to add a burst of joy and excitement to their lives. This spirited little pup loves to run, jump, and explore. Shrike is eager to learn new tricks and games. He is at the age where training and routine are critical, so he needs the consistency, patience and love of his new guardian to show him the ways of developing into a mature and fulfilled adult dog. Adopters are encouraged to attend puppy obedience classes, but the basics are a must - leash training, socializing with people and other dogs, and, of course, house training.
Shrike won't be a puppy forever, and as he grows, there are some important things to keep in mind about his breed. Shrike is presumed to be a Coonhound/Lab Retriver mix, however we cannot guarantee this is 100% accurate without a DNA test.
Coonhounds are a high energy breed and need a lot of exercise to stay healthy and happy. The breed has a very strong prey drive, so recall training would be important to allow Shrike off leash. Labs are also quite high energy, so a perfect home would be a very active home with lots of outdoor activity!
