My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have lived with cats.

I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

Julio tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior. Julio may be intimidated by small children, any home with older children prepared to adopt this cat should conduct a thorough interaction and endeavor to monitor this cat around their children to prevent these behaviors from being reinforced.

My foster writes: Meet Julio, the Lovey-Dovey Cute Kitty!
Julio is the ultimate cuddle bug who adores being the center of attention when people are around. But don't be fooled-once everyone leaves, he turns into a playful ball of energy, eagerly enjoying his toys. This sweet kitty never seems to tire, even loving late-night play sessions! Julio's affectionate side shines when he gently holds your hand while sleeping or uses it as a pillow. If you're looking for a loving and playful companion, Julio is your purr-fect match!

A volunteer writes: Julio seems to embrace interruptions and I love him for it. I accidentally woke him from his nap and he yawned and stretched himself awake and over to the front to say hello. A social butterfly always on the lookout for love and adventure, he wakes up with a cat smile. "Not to worry," he seemed to say as he proudly sat down for some neck scritches, readying himself for his next project. Next on the agenda? Well, Julio shared some of the most bighearted attempts at securing full body cuddles. Leaning his whole side into me, Julio gracefully fluttered and twirled until he had successfully gotten as close as possible. I loved doing this with him because who cares about personal space when you can have a cat like Julio hanging out over your arm? He's wonderfully mannered, takes hilariously genuine enjoyment in distractions, and is so ready to meet you!
