My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I am playful and cute!

I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!

A volunteer writes: 20 days ago 3 large dogs were left tied to a fence. While the story is not unique, the dogs always are. And we are pleased to introduce you to Fusilli and Rigatoni.

Rigatoni is braver, and we actually met him first. Going through life as wildly handsome as Rigatoni can't be easy but he makes do. Rigatoni wants you to know that he ALSO likes hugs, even if he's the braver half of the mismatched pair. A friendly boy, he's also energetic and would love a home that can meet his mental and physical needs.

Fusilli and Rigatoni were found with a their dog, name Penne to round out the pasta themed trio. Penne was very pregnant, and has since been placed with a rescue.

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Rigatoni was so well behaved! He never used his teeth to pull the leash. He loved people and was beautifully curious about children, watching them at the park. He knew "sit" and "drop it". He seems like the perfect family dog. He was so calm when one child wanted to say hi (I held him close and we kept distance for safety). But other than his excitable jumping tendency, I genuinely didn't seem worried about him being around children. He was able to reel it in and be more gentle in these situations. He seemed to smile and make a purring sound a little when he was being cuddled or pet a bunch. People he loved. He enjoyed watching kids playing and sat next to me calmly while observing.
