My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I came into the shelter and tested positive for Feline Leukemia as a kitten. Unfortunately no one wanted me since I`m contagious to other cats, so I lived at the shelter for most of my life.
Now I`m in a foster home and so happy! I finally get to be a kitten and run around a home and play with toys.
I`d really like a forever home - it`s hard to tell how much longer I`ll live. Many FelV cats only live 1-2 years, others live a full life. Until then, I`m just a perfect floofy baby ready to come home with you

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
