Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Motley!!!!
Motley was brought to the shelter, after being adopted from there. The family who adopted him, realized they had no time for a dog. So Motley found himself looking for another home. That's where Fetching Hearts jumped in for him.
Motley is a great medium sized Pit mix. He enjoys goy on long walks with his family to explore the outdoors. A fenced backyard is a must for Motley as he loves to romp around with his friends and family. He could easily join any family with kids and dogs. We feel that Motley is the type of guy who could even be in a family as the only too. He would make a great bestie for a single couple or person too. If you like camping, traveling the USA in a motorhome, Motley would love to join you as he loves to explore. Motley as enjoys quiet time cuddling up on the couch with his humans. He is currently watching the Olympics as we speak. Lol!! He is cheering on the swimmers. He has excellent inside manners and is a quiet boy.
Motley deserves a family who will make him priority and instead of an after thought like his previous owner. He is an awesome boy looking for a family to make him a forever member and cherish himself forever!!! Apply now for this handsome boy.

Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming, Microchip, Flea and Tick Prevention and Heartworm Prevention.
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
