My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Miklo! Unfortunately my person could no longer care for me. I got a lot of love in my prior home so I am very affectionate and love being pet! I am a big guy and prefer not to be picked up, but I will climb in your lap for a good snuggle anytime! I live in Cat Condo #4 now, so I am the first cat you see on the right when you enter the HAWS cat zone. I'd like to think you will stop looking when you enter the room but I won't mind if you say hi to the other cats before you come back to meet me. I'll let you pet me at my front door but I'd love for you to take me to a separate room and play, then take me home!

Since I am such a big fella, it's important that I stay on my diet! I'm trying to slim down so I have an easier time getting around and cleaning myself. Free-feeding is not for me.

Incorporated in 1965, HAWS has grown along with our community, evolving into a vibrant organization and a lively facility that is the #1 resource for pets and their people.
