Hello! My name is Windermere! I'm a female short haired brown tabby and white kitty with an estimated DOB of 5/20/24. I was born to a feral mama on a cottage farm near Canon City, CO. Wild Blue Cats provided me a loving foster home where I grew in my learning about human love. I've been handled since coming into Wild Blue Cats and am well socialized thanks to my foster parents. I have what my foster mom calls "resting angry face" but don't let that fool you. I'm a bit shy, but once I get to know you, I am a quiet and sweet kitty who loves lots of petting. I may not reach out to you asking for attention, but I love it when you spend time with me. It takes a little bit of time to get used to being held but if you move slow, I'll purr and snuggle. I'm learning how to play with toys, and things with movement perk my interest (like wand toys). Slow movement is best when I am first meeting new human friends, and starting me in a small space without hiding spots will help me feel comfortable faster in my surroundings. I was a colony kitty so I would do best with a gentle friend to go home with or if you have another peaceful cat already at home. Even though I have been around other kitties, I will need time to adjust. I have not had any contact with dogs or young children, so for now I'd rather skip those options in my new home. I am ok with older teens who are gentle, patient and loving with me as I blossom. Introductions with any other pets should follow WBCats instructions and be slow and gradual. My ideal home is calm and steady. I am up to date on my vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV. I have had my vet exam, been dewormed, and been microchipped and spayed. Please note: kittens may NOT be adopted as a Barn Cat nor be outdoors unsupervised as they are too young to know how to protect themselves.
