Rocky is a sweet, 16-year-old gentleman weighing 20 lbs, who has sadly found himself homeless and longing for the comfort of a family. He’s been displaced from the only home he’s ever known since puppyhood, and his heart is aching for companionship. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rocky’s previous owners had to sell their home and could not relocate with their three beloved dogs (see second photo). In a difficult decision, they surrendered Rocky and his siblings to our rescue. Although we did our best to keep them together, Rocky had to be separated from his two pup companions to find a loving foster home.
Despite these challenges, Rocky remains an obedient and gentle soul. He is house-trained and crate-trained, and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs—having lived with two Chihuahua mixes before, Carson and Miley, who are also looking for their forever homes. Cats are an unknown for Rocky, though, having never lived with them before. Rocky knows the command “come here” and enjoys exploring the yard, barking a friendly hello to passersby. He is a true lap dog at heart, cherishing every moment spent snuggling up for a cozy nap.
This gentle spirit deserves to spend his golden years surrounded by a loving family he can call his own. Could that family be you? If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this loveable guy, then apply to adopt him at ehrdogs.org and ask for ROCKY NJ!
