HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.
---
- A very friendly gentle giant that loves to sit in your lap and cuddle with you in bed at night
- Enjoys being petted on his head and back, and likes chin rubs - he often head butts you to encourage petting, and will occasionally rub his face into your face to express affection
- Mostly a lounger, but he enjoys playing with wand toys and catnip toys - he also likes chasing, and occasionally fetching ball toys
- Is not a fan of being left alone for long periods of time - he prefers seeing, and spending time with his humans
- Young, noisy or busy children will likely be too much for him, so he's looking for a mature home (teens and above) that's calm and predictable
- Will need at least a few days to adjust to a new environment
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
