My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful Rex girl was rescued by one of our long-time fosterers after she was found running loose in a neighborhood. When she was first rescued she was a bit of an untidy girl, which, in addition to her voracious appetite, earned her the name of Piglet. However, after settling in to her foster home she has transformed into a very tidy bun and is now one of our best litter box users. The appetite remains.

In addition to her beauty, Piglet has a very sweet and gentle personality. She (like most bunnies) is not crazy about being picked up and held, but she very much enjoys being petted. One of her favorite activities is exploring outside of her pen, another is sleeping in her tunnel. And, as mentioned, she loves food! Piglet gets along well with the cats in her foster environment.  This velvety beauty is seeking a forever home in which she can explore, lounge, and eat, and, of course, enjoy much petting!

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
