NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
NEW INTAKE 9/11/2024: Havana - female - approx 10 years old - 10.10 pounds - Papillon mix
Reason for intake: Havana came in with Piccolo from Caddo Parish Animal Services. They, along with two other dogs, were surrendered as strays, brought in via a large wire kennel. Right now, she's on medical stray due to her condition. Stray will end Monday morning at which time they will both head to our vet. Havana has significant mammary tumors that need addressed and a much-needed dental. She seems to have pain in her left ear. When we touch, she flinches so something is going on there that we will have our vet address. Her nails on some paws were over an inch long. We've taken care of that so that she can walk. We are accepting donations for her care. Should they be reclaimed (CPAS doesn't believe that's going to happen), all donations will go to the care of others.
NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416768288349589&type=3 OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
