If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Buster was born December 23, 2019 (4.5 years old) . He is a Beagle/Australian Shepard mix. I became the owner of Buster after he was rehome when he was 5 months.
Buster favorite thing to do is hunt for lizards. He isn’t much of a cuddled, but loves to be petted. His favorite game is tug of war.
Buster does well with fireworks and rain, but is scared if it is a heavy thunderstorm or extremely loud fireworks.
We need to rehome Buster because he is not adapting to our baby. Now that she is mobile, he growls at her when she gets near. Buster nipped at the babies face when she pet his back while he was looking for food crumbs after we ate breakfast. Buster has never bit anyone else.
Buster would do good in a home where he could have at least a small backyard, but other than hunting for lizard, he prefers to stay inside. He would do good in an apartment with multiple walks a day. Buster does well with older kids. He should not be placed in a home with small children.
