Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gilbert, a distinguished gentleman looking for a loving home to show you his impeccable manners and loving personality!
Gilbert is currently in a foster home and his foster mom can't say enough good things about him! His catalog of great qualities include: he's house broken, walks well on a leash, not a barker, is an over all easygoing pooch, and knows a ton of commands such as "sit, "down, "go lay down, "stop, and "go. Best of all? Gilbert is very well behaved even while being left alone. He has full range of the house when his foster mom isn't home and the only thing he chews is his toys!
Gilberts foster mom says he uses his head to communicate. A gentle nudge from his head is a request for a soft pet, to play, or a treat. A whine and a nudge means he needs to go outside.
Gilbert has gone on many events including our monthly Pack Walk and the Greenwich Craft Faire. He was described as "an excellent ambassador for the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter loving all the people he met (big and small), "does well in the presence of other dogs, and "couldn't have been more well behaved!
At 10 years young, this sweet, perfect mannered senior needs a permanent home to live out his golden years. Will you be that home?
