Cleo came from a hoarding situation where there were about 20 dogs. Some of the other dogs we have gotten from there have been pretty shy and scared at first, but have warmed up fairly quickly. Russell Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization. It was started in 2008 by Mary Ruth Rogers of Columbia, TN. Our mission is to save and re-home unloved, abandoned and abused dogs, especially the Jack Russell terrier. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters in Tennessee, and other nearby states.
