My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Email for details:
Tulip is available for adoption in a foster home. If you're interested

How this pet arrived:
Tulip was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why Tulip might be the one for you:
Tulip gives new meaning to the word "wiggle" as she shakes with delight - not fear but with delight as she anticipates that she is going on a car adventure or a walk. She is now in a foster home where her foster Mom says she is doing great. She is calm and loves her many walks a day where she kind of plods along, sniffing any and all and not being in any hurry. Her walks are not long and she prefers them that way. Her gentle nature and delicate demeanor make her a great candidate for a patient, quiet and understanding home where she can take her time to build trust and feel secure. It will not be long before she will reward you with her affection and grow into a cherished member of your family. There will be many kisses and licks along the way as you cuddle with her. If you're ready to offer a safe and nurturing environment to pretty Tulip, contact us today and we will arrange for you to meet Tulip.

At SDHS:
Tulip has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
