My name is Nina!

Our sweet little Nina girl is a hoot and a half! She believes that she is the size of a chihuahua and can fit perfectly in your lap. We don't tell her she truly isn't chihuahua sized and that she is a 1yr old Shep mix sitting at 52lbs. Nina came from a prior rescue where she was in a foster home with a bunch of other dogs and did well. When she first meets dogs she tends to be a bit barky until she calms down and understands that they are going to be a friend not a foe. She has met kids and done well but tends to get a bit spooked if they are very rowdy kids. We haven't gotten to cat test her as of yet.

All animals up for adoption at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative (if age appropriate), up to date on vaccinations (a booster may be needed), given flea and tick preventative, given heartworm preventative, dewormed, and treated for anything necessary: such as dental cleanings, ear infections, etc. Please visit our website for prices and more information about our hours. No pre-applications are accepted, please come to the shelter with your family with no appointment needed. If you have another dog, we'd like an appointment to do a meet and greet with your other dog.
