My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

11/15/24. Hello from TIGER! Hi everyone, don't forget about me. I'm a good boy who likes to play with my toys, go for walks, roll in the grass, and be near my humans. I had a terrible owner who did not take good care of me, especially when I broke my leg. Thankfully, my kind veterinarian Dr. Sierra advocated for me and helped me get to the rescue. So if you're in the market looking for an adorable young dober boy to be your best friend, I am your guy. I prefer to be the only prince in the house and no cats or kids, since I have never been around them. Thanks for sharing me. Love, Tiger

9/8/24. Good morning from TIGER! For those of you that don’t know my story I’m a 2 year old boy that lived with another female Dobie and a not so very good owner who did not take very good care of us. I broke my leg last December and I went to the amazing vet Dr Sierra who took great care of me but she was not happy with the shape I was in - I was skinny and in pain. The owner did not bring me back for follow up as scheduled and 2 months later I once again returned to vet in very bad shape, very skinny with flesh rotting off the bone. The vet asked the owner to surrender us to her but he of course refused. Fast forward to 1 month ago the vet gets a call from SC shelter that owner has surrendered us in horrible shape and I, Tiger have a knee injury on top of the poorly healed leg injury so she contacted rescues that would be willing to take these 2 dober furkids who have been thru so much. Of course we couldn’t refuse and so with the help of Dr. Sierra the veterinarian who advocated so strongly for us and helped with some of our vetting we are safe at with Doberman Rescue. Unfortunately I reopened my knee wound and had to stay another 5 days back at our vet but now I am back and looking for a foster or foster to adopt while I heal. Despite everything I have been through I absolutely love people and even with all my cones on I just want to be near you to give kisses. I like other female dogs and when I am healed would love to walk by your side and be your loyal companion. Please if you can even foster me temporarily while I heal that would be wonderful. I promise to repay you with so much Dobie love. Get your apps in for TIGER, please share me to help me find my forever home with an owner that will love and care for me . Thanks in advance.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
