My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gia and her brother Gibbs were being looked after by a couple in Ruskin.  A tiny and friendly little momma (still a kitten herself) had kittens in thier yard. They reached out to Tampa Bay Strays for help with the family.  Momma Gypsy and the kittens are now ready for thier own homes. Gia and Gibbs are shy at first.  They did not get a lot of interaction with people until they joined our rescue. She is a beautiful Russian Blue Mix kitten with silky gray fur and big bright eyes. She is shy a little girl and needs an adopter that understands she will need some time to feel safe. Like all young kittens she is full of energy and would do best in home that can give him lots of attention.  Or even better a young cat that can be her best friend and help her feel brave. She loves her foster sibling Beans!  Please contact us for more information.

Additional adoption info

Tampa Bay Strays is a network of foster homes, and all animals are under the care of a foster. Occasionally, we will utilize local adoption centers located in pet stores or other areas, where you may meet available kitties and adopt in-store! Please visit our website and follow us on facebook/instagram to stay in the "know" for upcoming adoption events!

Go meet their pets

All our pets live in the comfort of foster homes with dedicated caregivers to oversee their daily and medical needs. Once you identify a pet and have moved through the application process, we will connect you with the foster to arrange a time and place to do a meet-n-greet.

More about this rescue

Tampa Bay Strays, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation founded in 2022 and located in Tampa, Florida. We are dedicated to providing a safe, temporary, loving home for lost, abandoned, stray or otherwise homeless cats and dogs in the Tampa Bay area. We provide medical care, vaccinations, spay / neuter, medical procedures, and testing of animals in our care, and facilitate the adoption of animals in the care of our foster volunteers to permanent, loving homes. As a no-kill organization we do NOT euthanize unless medically necessary under exigent circumstances. We promote spay / neuter practices to provide longevity of good health, disease deterrence and control the overpopulation of stray cats and dogs. As we are not government subsidized, we depend on the generosity of private donors and corporate sponsors who share our altruistic beliefs and goals.
