Happiness is a honey brown 6-month-old beauty named Hummingbird! At 27 pounds and all legs, she’s especially sweet and affectionate, loves cuddling and snuggling with her foster mom, resting her head on her, rolling over for tummy rubs, and curling up next to her in bed at night. Extremely enthusiastic and highly energetic, Hummingbird thrives on activity, whether it’s going for long, invigorating walks, playing games of fetch or engaging with other equally energetic dogs. Obsessed with stuffed bears and balls, toys and flip flips, wonderful with children, and motivated by food, toys and love, she currently knows “no,” is never crated, and is at work on her house-training and puppy manners. Only just starting life’s journey, Hummingbird will be happiest in an extremely loving family, perhaps with another canine companion, that will perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever.
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
