My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Freddie, who came to Dakin with his brother Frankie. For them it's deja vu, as they were adopted together from Dakin as kittens. Their lives as kittens makes for an incredible tale. They were motherless outdoor kittens who were nursed by another mom cat, which is very rare! They had a rough start but were adopted by nice people who are moving and, unfortunately, can't take them along. Needless to say the two boys are very close. Frankie is a quiet, shy boy and something of a scaredy cat, but he is friendly with his family. He's accustomed to living indoors with adults and his brother. He hasn't been around children and has had brief encounters with a relative's dog. He avoided the dog, but might possibly consider being around one who minds his own business. This kitty likes cuddling, pets and being picked up on his own terms. When visitors come to call, he'll do a disappearing act, so they won't get to see how handsome he is. Freddie's favorite activities include looking out the window, carrying around his pom pom toy and kicking the daylights out of his kicker carrot toy. He is also a great hunter, so if you have any unwanted critters, he'll take care of your problem at no charge. He's considered a "Spirit Cat" and will need someone who can let him move at his own pace. Could it be you? If you're thinking about adopting multiple cats, his brother would be the purrfect match. Why not double the love in your life?

Do you want to make a difference in a special kitty's life? Consider adopting one of Dakin's "Spirit Cats. These cats are fearful of people and don't require a lot of attention. What they do need is a place to park their paws in a quiet home where they'll be loved just the way they are. One day, you may find that you've earned their trust and get head butts and maybe even a bedtime buddy. But there are no guarantees. Your visitors will never see them because they'll quietly slip away and disappear into a closet. Spirit Cats may enjoy being around their own kind and sometimes make great companions for other cats. Are you ready to make a difference in a special kitty's life?
