My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope was rescued by Castoff Pet Rescue from a high kill animal control. She is the sweetest, cutest, amazing 1 year old girl!

Penelope is in a foster home with another dog (the black dog in the pictures) and 2 kids. She has regular playdates with other dogs and kids, and she loves everyone.

We think she is a lab / sheppard type mix and is 55 pounds. She is housebroken, crate trained, walks great on a leash and fully vetted. She loves to play with toys and friends.

She would make a wonderful addition to any home!

More about this rescue

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
