My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mookie is 45 lb, adult female, three-year-old, submissive, well-trained, very playful and gentle American Bully.

Mookie gets along well with ANY HUMAN, younger and smaller animals such as kittens and puppies. She can be rambunctious when it comes to dogs her size, however, she tires quickly. She has never had an experience with an older cat.

She is absolutely not an attacked dog or a watchdog. So if that's what you need she is not the one.

Mookie is a rescue from a breeder who could not sell her due being the runt and multiple ailments that have been stabilized for a few years. Mookie has a compressed tailbone which causes her to experience pain and limited mobility in her hind legs. She is fully stabilized now but she will eventually need wheels for her hind legs and should never go on long walks or frequently up and down the stairs.

Mookie will always need HYDROLYZED dog food due to her gastrointestinal sensitivity and two types of medications for her hind legs (Carprofen and Gabapentin) unless you find an awesome vet who can manage her condition with a more natural approach.

Mookie is house trained with no accidents but currently uses a doggie door at her liberty. Even though she is well-trained in different ways you may have to work with her to get her on a bathroom schedule or establish some type of communication that she needs to use the bathroom.

The American Bully has been recognized by the European Bully Kennel Club and the United Kennel Club. American Bullies have been bred to be a human companion dog.

Note: This is a curtesy post for a friend of Crazy Cats. Mookie is not in our care. Please call Lynette to discuss Mookie and her adoption at 513-605-0771.

Go meet their pets

Crazy Cats Animal Rescue offers cats and kittens for adoption at the Florence, KY PetSmart and the Loveland/Symmes OH Petco.

More about this rescue

Crazy Cats is a foster-based, 100% volunteer-lead cat rescue. To help control the over-population of community cats, we are very active in TNR (trap-neuter-return). Cats are our heart and passion.

We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.

All of our adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, tested for disease, treated for parasites, microchipped (with lifetime free registration), and fostered/socialized in a loving family home. The works!

Crazy Cats Animal Rescue matches adopters and pets through dialogue and conversation, in a climate of trust and communication. Our adoption policy is open to inclusivity and accessibility.
