My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Turner!

Gotcha!  How about those ears?  The most adorable, lovable, soft and luxurious, goofball of a puppy won’t be around long.  Turner is every big dog lovers dream.  He is about 6 months old, weighing in at 30 lbs now and who knows where he will end up tipping the scales.  His paws are GIANT!  Turner has the classic Retriever coat with a dash of Labrador vibe.  He is a typical goofy puppy that has no idea of his size.  Turner is excellent with all humans (LOVES kids) and other animals - cats too!  He is new to us, but he’s in puppy boot camp in his foster home, learning all the things; leash training, crate and house training and basic skills.  Turner thinks the furniture is his play yard, but we are working on better house manners.  He is sweet and obedient, very people pleasing, loyal and super snuggly and loving.  Turner is a clean slate and we are doing our best to teach him the basics for you to take over and finish the job.  He requires a family or someone that wants to continue with the training and give him the opportunity to be a super star.  Turner is going to be a big fella, so if you are looking for a medium dog…he’s probably not the one.  He may grow up to be 60-80 lbs.  If you are looking for a family friendly, people and animal loving dude, BIG dog…get your application in ASAP!

More about this rescue

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
