My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What's your favorite color? Don't answer that- once you meet this dog we know the answer will be green!! Sweet Green was found with several of his siblings at a city park, with no identification or idea from where they came from. Since getting to the shelter, Green has been quite scared by the sounds and strangers, but has shown what a sweet boy he is on the inside! He seems to warm up with treats and after spending time with doggie pals. Once he realizes he can trust you, he loves to spend time getting pets and looking lovingly into your eyes.

Sweet Green is now available for adoption and looking for a safe home to grow into a happy and confident pup! You can meet him any day from 10am-6pm.

Behavior:
Per Volunteer 9/15/24:
Just a small little pup! He came in with his siblings and is housed next to one of them. when I approached his kennel he was clearly scared, shaking and tail tucked, but he had soft eyes so I entered the kennel. It took a bit to leash him since he was very scared of the leash but was very treat motivated. Loved treats so I ended up putting the leash in a loop on the ground with treats in the middle and it worked great to leash him. Lovesss treats but takes them a bit snatchily. The whole time we walked outside he had his tail tucked and very scared body language. We saw one of his siblings outside and he really warmed up! Got much more loose and playful and warmed up to me too. I gave them both pets and they were sooo sweet. Sat outside with him for a while and he took cuddles and pets and warmed up to me quite a bit. Such a sweet boy!!
