My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Sky was brought in by her previous owner on July 19, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Are you ready to add a little sunshine to your life? Sky is here to brighten your days, but like any feline, she comes with her own conditions! Sky is a pro at purring when the climate is just right. When you approach too quickly - Sky will gracefully glide away like a cloud, but give her time, and she'll float back for more snuggles. If there are dogs around - let's just say she's more of a clear skies, no barking kind of gal. Now that her kittens have found their homes, Sky is ready for a forecast of endless love in her own home. She's looking for someone who understands that the best things in life take a little patience! Will you be the ray of sunshine she's been waiting for? Don't forget to grab a secure cat carrier for a safe ride home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
