My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Momo is about 1 year old and 65lbs of sweet cuddles. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she knows you all she wants is to follow you around and ask for belly rubs. She loves walks and having access to a yard and a window to people watch from. She's relatively quite with an occasional bark here and there. She loves meeting other dogs in the neighborhood and doesn't growl or bark at them, even when they bark at her. Momo is happiest with a couple walks a day and would probably get along in most household types as long as her people are active, kind and gentle. She loves some evening cuddle time, but watch out for her paws! She's working on keeping them to herself, but she's been quick to learn and with some training she'll come to understand that she does not in fact have hands.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
