Meet Layla. The girl of the summer made her debut on a hot summer day by greeting all of the neighbors with her sleek sashay.
After a few days of feeding her outside and determining that she was a stray, Layla was taken indoors (or rather walked confidently in) by her current foster mom, who quickly got her to the vet. She passed her exams with high marks and has just completed her spay.
Petite and sleek with eyes that glimmer from golden yellow to copper, Layla exudes a quiet confidence. She enjoys being near adults, and after a few body rubs and chin scratches, she'll find a place nearby to chill, coming back from time to time for more interaction.
Her intelligence is quickly evident, as she'll be sure to let you know with a nod at her plate, an eye lock, and a precise meow that she would like to be fed. Her current foster dad is working on teaching her to sit for treats, and she is catching on rather quickly.
Layla holds cleanliness as a virtue. Besides delicately cleaning herself, she has used her litterbox perfectly from her first night inside. Believing it's only polite to cover one's messes.
Her interests include a marked fondness for catnip in all its forms, wand toys, and lounging on her pouf.
Layla is looking for her forever home—one who will respect and cherish her, teach her new things, and understand that she is a rare beauty indeed.
Age: 8 months
