Introducing Angel, a sweet yet shy momma who loves nothing more than playing with her stuffies! After recently being retired as a mill mama, Angel has finally been given the chance to live life as a normal pup.
When it comes to living in a home as a pet, Angel is working hard on learning the rules. Housetraining is a still a work in progress, but she has mastered the doggy door! Angel doesn’t always know why she’s going outside, but seems to enjoy it nonetheless. For the most part, Angel does understand to go poop outside, but peeing is still a work in progress. Angel’s forever home will need to continue to work with her with both patience and understanding to help her master housetraining.
When it comes to walking, Angel does not like being on the leash. She has improved since arriving to foster care, but her training will need to continue. We require that Angel’s forever home has a fully fenced in yard to help with the transition and training of leash walking.
Angel doesn’t like the crate, so she currently sleeps on the bed with her humans at night. She doesn’t take up much room, and happily sleeps by your feet. Upon entering the bedroom at night, Angel will patiently wait for you to pick her up and put her into bed with you. When left alone, Angel doesn’t show any signs of stress. She is currently being fostered with 4 other dogs, and we think that she would likely do best in a forever home with another dog to help her feel more confident and secure.
Angel is still learning about the world, and things can still be scary. Angel is still nervous around new people, and her forever home will need to go at her pace when introducing her to new friends.
Coming from a puppy mill, Angel has no experience with young children and we often find that young children are just too active and loud for these dogs that have limited exposure to life outside their pens. A home with older children is recommended.
Overall, Angel is a sweet girl who had a rough start to life. As time goes on, she is coming more and more out of her shell and understanding how to be a dog. In her forever home, Angel is sure to find herself and her personality will come out. If you can offer Angel the love, patience, and stuffies that she’s looking for - please apply today!

Angel has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, heartworm tested, and had dental work done.  She has also received monthly preventatives for Ticks, Fleas, and Heartworm.

Angel’s adoption fee will be $650.00. If you are interested in adopting Angel please complete our online adoption application at this link:  https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption
